Getting Involved

As future optometrists, F.O.S.A. members participate in optometry related events that allow members to partake in community service. Serving as a representation of the pre-optometry student body, members broaden their understanding of the optometric field by attending eye care seminars, educative presentations, optometry school tours and volunteering in optometry related programs. Members are welcomed to participate in the Vision Walk, Dining in the Dark event, Eye Ball events, fundraising for World Sight Day, donating for those in need of eye exams, and school presentations. In addition, members are given several job opportunities related to the eye care profession. FIU's F.O.S.A. club gives students interested in optometry opportunities that can broaden their scopes toward becoming well rounded optometric physicians. Our club invites anyone who sees themselves serving their communities as future optometrists, or, doctors who enjoy making a difference.
